Government is going to invite international companies to manage four customs

The Ukrainian Government plans to engage international companies to the management of Volyn, Lviv, Chernivtsi and Zakarpattia customs agencies: "This should be a company having experience of combating corruption in customs agencies, able to make a complete change in the system of maintenance and management", stressed Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk during the open meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Thursday, 11 February.

The new management scheme, he said, envisages "simplified customs services and enlarged budget revenues from the customs".

Yatsenyuk about the arrival of the pilot train to China

The successful arrival of an experimental train via the new Silk Road has proven that Russia’s economic blockade of Ukraine’s transit has failed. "Our trading partners have clearly demonstrated their desire in collaboration with Ukraine to build a new transit route," stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Tuesday, 2 February, during a meeting dedicated to the arrival of the pilot train along the route Ukraine-Georgia-Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan-China to its destination.

Andrii Pyvovarsky: New Beskyd tunnel will expedite shipment to Europe

Beskyd railway tunnel will speed up the delivery of cargoes to Europe. Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andrii Pyvovarsky said on January 21 during festive events dedicated to the completion of the first phase of construction of a new double-track Beskyd tunnel on the stretch of the Beskyd- Skotarske in the Carpathian Mountains. The event was also attended by Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Hennadii Zubko, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Mykola Snitko and acting Chairman of the Board of PJSC "Ukrainian Railway" Olexandr Zavgorodniy.
